A development session for those who are already building risk assessments in their teams.

Prior learning required – the Scout Association online safety learning module.

This is a group session covering:-

  • Tools and techniques that can be used to assist in finding as many of the hazards as possible
  • What “suitable” and sufficient” means
  • How these hazards can be reduced
  • Introducing and practicing using the hierarchy of controls
  • How we can adapt and respond to changing events and keep the risk assessment up to date
  • How do we share and get everyone involved? There is no point in writing a risk assessment if you are the only one who knows what it says

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
