Improve your outdoor Scouting skills

Date: 7th October 2023 Between: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Location: Kinver Scout Camp, The Compa, Kinver, Staffs, DY7 6HR

Here is a wonderful opportunity to improve your outdoor Scouting skills

We know that some Leaders were disappointed that we had to cancel the module 38 camping course earlier this year due to a lack of applications.  We are also aware that under the new Adult Learning scheme due to be introduced next year there will be a need for some local Scouting skills training.  So, we have arranged with BushScoutUK a Practical Skills Day at our County Camp Site at Kinver on Saturday 7th October 2023.

The day will cover:

Fire Lighting
Axe & Saw
Tarpology
Knife Safety
Campfire Cooking

The day will run from 9am to 5pm and the cost will be £35 BUT this will be fully refunded for those that attend the day.

Further details can be found at this link:

https://www.bushscout.org.uk/courses

There are only 30 places available and for the next two weeks these are reserved for Leaders in Hereford and Worcester.  After then the places will be available to Leaders from other Counties so get you application in as soon as possible.

TO BOOK A PLACE YOU WILL NEED TO USE THIS PASSWORD – Pumpkin10

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
