Archery & Shooting

Archery  

Archery is an activity that must be run by a permit holder.

Shooting  

To run a shooting activity (e.g.airgun, rifle, crossbow, clay pigeon) you must hold a qualification from an approved national organisation or as part of your profession. For more details on running a shooting activity click here.

Parental consent must be given before the activity. The Scouts provides a sample form.

If you would like to train as a shooting instructor then you will find nearby courses run at Kinver, Rhydd Covert and Cranham (Gloucestershire).

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
