Kinver Volunteer Vacancies

Volunteer at Kinver Camp

Exciting opportunity in this ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’

We are looking to set up a group of voluntary weekend wardens to support the County Team

Duties will include:

  • Welcoming campers and seeing them to their camp site
  • Assisting campers throughout the weekend
  • Looking after camp facilities
  • Assisting in the shop
  • Checking camp sites and buildings at the end of the weekend and
  • Helping with the locking up the site

We are looking for individuals – Leaders, Explorer Scouts, Network members etc. – who can commit to assist in keeping the site working safely and efficiently. We would be happy with a day, a weekend or a number of days/weekends. There is no minimum time requirement and you can give as much or as little time as you have available.

This might not be limited to weekends and we currently have a group of volunteers who give their time during the week – there are always jobs to be done so time given at any time is always welcome.

No particular skills are required but, obviously, we would welcome people with skills that could be useful on site. Enthusiasm for the site is by far the most important requirement.

If you would like to apply you please email:

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
