Is your group ready for Squirrels?

Date: 25th Oct 2021 Author: Lynn Lee

The County is exploring opening Squirrel sections in our County.

To help with this we now have our very own County Squirrels Advisor, Ellie.

If you are interested in opening a Squirrel Drey and want to explore this further, please speak with your GSL and DC. Then you can discuss your ideas with Ellie who will advise on the next steps and tell you more about the Squirrel programme.

To contact Ellie, please email her on ellie.prince@scoutshw.org.uk

Squirrels are a great way to bring younger members into Scouting, help with adult recruitment and further embed Scouting into our communities.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
