Save the Date – ShireVoice 24!

Date: 16th Nov 2023 Author: Lynn Lee

The next ShireVoice events will be on the 27th and 28th January 2024. The event will run twice so that more people have a chance to attend.

ShireVoice asks Young People about their ideas for great local Scouting and wants to find out what kinds of programme and events our Young People would like adult leaders to put in place for them.

Adult volunteers understand how important it is that Young People guide Scouting. They know that running programmes steered by Young People results in better engagement and better Scouting. And this makes it more fun for adults, too!

ShireVoice 2024, led by our Youth Commissioner team, Fliss and Harry, will run twice. Young People can attend whichever session is most convenient, regardless of location.

Worcester – 27th January@5th Worcester
Hereford – 28th January@1st Holmer

On both days, the morning will be for Beaver Scout Lodge Leaders and Cub Scout Sixers and Seconders. The afternoon will be for all Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members.

We look forward to hearing young people’s views and ideas. We’ll pass these on to the County and District teams and local leaders.

Please encourage young people to sign up HERE.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
