ShireVoice 2021 – Virtual Youth Forum

Date: 20th Feb 2021 Author: Robert

On March 21st we will be holding Shirevoice. Shirevoice is our county youth forum, and it is a great opportunity for the young people to have their say in what we do as a county and also input any great ideas they may have for us to take on board, because let’s be honest most of the great ideas come from the young people.

The forum is for Scouts, Explorers, Young Leaders & Network.

Due to us unfortunately not being able to meet physically we will be running Shirevoice this year on a zoom call. The forum will start at 9am and we aim to be finished around 12.30. we will be discussing topics such as county events, top awards, climate emergency and support / engagement, but their will also be time at the end for the young people to bring forward any other ideas or topics they would like to discuss.

If people would like to sign up for Shirevoice, then all they have to do is fill in the following form before March 10th and they will be sent all of the zoom details and anything else they need during the week before the forum:

Also when a young person signs up they will be in with a chance of getting one of our 100 limited edition Shirevoice neckers.

I hope to see as many young people there as possible, and I can’t wait to hear what they have to say.

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
