Lake District Leaders Walking Weekend – CANCELLED

Between: 21st May 2021 - 23rd May 2021 Location: St Johns-in-the-Vale, Keswick, Lake District Sections: Adult Volunteer

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN REPLACED BY A DAY HIKE AT BERWYNS

Join us for a weekend of walking in the glorious Lake District fells. This is open to all leaders who like their hillwalking and will be an opportunity for those who would like to gain a hillwalking permit to be assessed.

There will be two full days of walking led by experienced walk leaders who will be happy to pass on their knowledge to help improve your navigational skills.

We will have exclusive use of the Youth Centre in St Johns-in-the-Vale, which provides comfortable, warm accommodation with large social and dining areas. It also benefits from stunning views out towards Blencathra and can sleep up to 26 in dorms with options for an additional 14 in a nearby annex.

Cost for the weekend will be £50 including food and accommodation and will be subject to Scouting being back at Green Readiness level.

If you would like to come or for more information please contact Mark Graham at hillwalking@scoutshw.org.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
