Robert SidleyCounty Commissioner
Locally known as Sid, his role is to lead Scouting in the County. Before becoming County Commissioner Sid was mainly involved with the 5th Worcester Sea Scouts and throughly enjoys all elements of Scouting.
Harry Bantham-JonesCounty Youth Commissioner
Harry has been Scouting since he was 6 and has been a member of all the youth sections. He has really enjoyed all his Scouting experiences and has learned many useful skills over his time as a youth member.
Now, in his role as County Youth Commissioner, Harry wants to make sure that Scouting in Hereford & Worcester remains truly youth-shaped and that all our youth members have the opportunity to contribute to their activity programmes, events and personal development, in partnership with adult leaders.
Harry would love everyone to have access to amazing Scouting opportunities and get the most from their time in Scouting.
Jamie SandisonCounty Chair
Jamie leads the the executive committee and trustees of the County. Working collaboratively with the County Commissioner to develop and support the strategic vision of Scouting UK and our local County policies and provision.
Lynn LeeCounty Administrator
Lynn professionally provides administrative support for a number of elements in the County namely:
- Governance Reporting
- MAPS Reporting
- Kinver Administrative Support
- Awards Delivery Administration
- Minutes of AGM and County Meetings
- Contact Point for the County
Jo TurnbullCounty Secretary
Jo is the hub of the executive committee dealing with all correspondence, keeping the County Commissioner in line and supports the trustees to develop and support the strategic vision of Scouting UK and our local County policies and provision.
Ian NewmanCounty Treasurer
Ian has been on the County of executive committee for a number of years providing key support to number of functions including our Kinver Campsite. Ian is responsible for all matters relating to money, property and insurance.
Alan LaneTrustee and County Appointments Chair
Alan has been involved in scouting since a child and sits on the executive committee as a member. Alan supports the trustees to develop and the strategic vision of Scouting UK, including our local County policies and provision. Alan is also Chair of the appointments committee which ensures the safe appointments of County volunteers.

Val LeddingtonSafeguarding Advisor
Val champions safeguarding within the County and helps to ensure the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults are at the core of scouting in Hereford and Worcester.
She supports provision to ensure members are up to date with training and are confident in implementing the safeguarding procedures of The Scouts.
Mike ThompsonLegal Support
Meg WilliamsCounty Development Officer
Meg works throughout the County supporting Districts and Groups that need assistance to grow the volunteer base, and she helps to deliver volunteer development projects. This includes adult volunteer recruitment, opening new Groups and Sections and promoting Scouting at local events.
This is a paid role, working in partnership with County and District Commissioners and specific Project Teams.
Meg is also very active in outdoor activities and belongs to the Activate and the Kinver teams, providing challenge and adventure at the Kinver Campsite and at events all round Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Mel BrammerDeputy County Commissioner - People
Mel is responsible for all aspects of the volunteer journey across the County.
Recruitment, joining, training, managing compliance, and supporting with reviews, if you need help with any of these, get in touch with Mel.
Her team includes the ACC Exec Support, ACC Inclusion and Diversity, ACC Pride and County Training Administrator as well as all the Local Training Managers.
Pete DodmanDeputy County Commissioner - Perception
Robert WilliamsDeputy County Commissioner - Programme
Rob manages the programme within the County for all youth Sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network, as well as overseeing the Top Awards, the Queens’s Scout Award and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Rob is supported by Matt Fox (QSA and Top Awards Co-ordinator), Siân Telfer (ACC Young Leaders), and Bob James and Ali Shaw (D of E Advisors).
He is also a member of the County Executive Committee and the county’s representative on the National Executive for The Scouts.
Rob WilliamsDeputy County Commissioner - Kinver
Rob manages the Kinver Camp site and is currently acting as Warden.
He is also involved in providing adventurous activities to site users and across the county.
John DayAssistant County Commissioner - Executive Support
John has been in Scouting for over 40 years and has held numerous roles.
He is currently advising and providing training to executive committees and offering support on good governance.
Ann ClarkAssistant County Commissioner - International
Ann offers support on all elements of programme and also advises on the administrative/logistical elements of international trips.
Ann is also the Chair for Operation Bald Eagle – the popular County Scout challenge camp.
Siân TelferAssistant County Commissioner - Young Leaders
Siân supports District Explorer Leaders with their provision for Young Leaders and she runs targeted Young Leader events and training.
She has been a Scout leader since she was 18 years old and loves all aspects of Scouting.
Matt FoxQueen's Scout and Top Awards Co-ordinator
Matt holds several Scouting roles and injects Scouting knowledge to develop the strategic vision of Scouting UK, including our local County policies and provision.

John StribblehillActivate Scout Active Support Manager
John is the County’s SASu manager and specialises in adult training for adventurous activity permits. Along the way he runs adventurous activities in several areas across all Sections. John is supported by County Assessors who are all dedicated and highly experienced in their fields.
Bryony FrancisCounty Scouter
Lee RussellBushScout HW - Manager
Lee founded the national Scout Active Support Unit (SASU) “BushScout” to fill a gap in practical scouting skills – things like fire lighting, backwoods cooking, knots and using knives and axes.
BushScout H&W runs one training day a year and supports practical skills at other events throughout the County.
As well as heading up the County BushScout team, Lee is a leader with 20th Worcester.
