COVID-19 Update Latest Information

Learning Opportunities

See below for learning opportunities in  Scouts Hereford and Worcester.

All our training is currently being delivered via Zoom.

Full details can be found by clicking on the course name.  Book by e-mailing County Training Administrator – mark.strain@scoutshw.org.uk. To avoid disappointment and allow us to plan our groupings and send you joining instructions, please ensure that you have booked on at least two days before your course. You may find helpful resources to read before your course here.

Please let us know at the earliest opportunity if you are unable to attend a course that you are booked on.

Participants from outside of Hereford and Worcester Scout County are welcome to attend our courses.  There is no cost to our online training.

If you can’t find an online training date for a module that you need here on ScoutsHW, it may be worth trying these other Counties in our Region who are offering online courses:

  • Birmingham – run several modules in one day, currently via Zoom.
  • Warwickshire – offering lots of online learning – click the date on their calendar and register via Eventbrite.

Check out these pages for more information and links to Getting Started Training and Mandatory Ongoing Learning.

Manager and Supporter Training involves individual learning which can be accessed here, and Skills Courses run within the Region. Our next Skills courses are planned for early Spring.

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
