Pistol Shooting Instructor Course October 2023

NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor’s Diploma (Pistol)

This one day course equips candidates to run have-a-go sessions in air pistol shooting. It is the standard qualification used by the Scout Association and is written into Scout POR’s (operating procedures).

The qualification lasts for five years but can then be renewed via NSRA. At the point of renew a full logbook must be presented.

Please note that candidates must be a minimum of 21 years old to attend this course and have a valid, in date NSRA Air Gun qualification.

This course is open to any adult members over the age of 21 who hold a current NSRA Air Gun qualification.

  • Equipment
  • Basic shooting skills
  • Sighting

This course will be run both inside Compa Hall at Kinver Scout Camp and outside on our Rifle range, 9am-4pm. The course cost includes refreshments and overnight camping if required. Please bring your own lunch.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
