County Lead Volunteer vacancy

We are opening the search for a new County Lead Volunteer, this is being lead by Steve Thomas, Lead Volunteer for the West Midlands Region. Steve has shared details of the search below.

As you will be aware, Mark Bache has been the interim County Lead Volunteer for Scouts Hereford & Worcester since January.

Mark has provided stability and leadership over the last 6 months and led the County through a difficult period. It is testament to this leadership, and the support of County and District teams that Scouts Hereford & Worcester continues to deliver a varied and exciting programme for our young people. I want to thank Mark for all his hard work and service to Scouts Hereford and Worcester, and for all the support he has given to the West Midlands Region.

As Mark moves on, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented person who can lead and support Scouts Hereford and Worcester. It’s an exciting time to be involved as we embed our improvements to volunteer experience and launch our new strategy. This is your opportunity to nominate someone you think has the skills and qualities to lead the County forward, or apply for the role yourself if this sounds like you!

• The County Lead Volunteer is a key volunteer leadership role within the Scouts. You’ll help us lead and inspire adult volunteers as well as providing outstanding management and support for the 9 Districts in Hereford & Worcester.
• We know that Scouts has the ability to change lives, so you’ll also help us with our ambitious inclusive growth plans, ensuring that Scouts is able to reach every young person.
• You’ll be joining a team of talented, focused volunteers who are all passionate about bringing brilliant Scouting to every young person who wants to take part, and enjoy having fun in the process.
• We want to create the best possible team to lead Scouts Hereford and Worcester, and believe that we’ll do that by inviting and involving volunteers from different walks of life with different experiences, different skills and perspectives.
