Rifle Shooting Instructor Course October 2024

NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor’s Diploma (Air Gun)

This two-day course equips candidates to run have-a-go sessions in air gun shooting and also to take young people for introduction to air gun shooting over a longer period. It is the standard qualification used by the Scout Association and is written into Scouting’s POR (operating procedures).

The qualification lasts for five years but can then be renewed via NSRA. At the point of renewal a full logbook must be presented.

Please note that candidates must be a minimum of 21 years old to attend this course.

This course is open to any adult members over the age of 21 with or without previous experience of this activity.

  • Sighting
  • Session plans
  • Scoring targets and competition
  • Shooting games

This course will be run both inside Compa Hall at Kinver Scout Camp and outside on our rifle range, 9am-5pm.

The course cost includes refreshments and overnight camping if required. Please bring your own lunch.
