Risk Assessment 101

Date: 14th January 2025 Between: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Location: Perdiswell Young Peoples' Leisure Club, Droitwich Road, Worcester, WR3 7SN

Suitable for volunteers of all sections, Squirrels to Explorers. No pre-learning needed.

If you’ve never written a risk assessment before, or find them challenging, then this is for you!

This is a development session designed to build confidence in creating risk assessments, making them simple and effective and thus reducing the paperwork.  Areas covered will be:-

  • What purpose do they serve?
  • What do they look like?
  • Demystifying terms, untangling hazards and risks
  • How do we minimise our chance of missing something?
  • What can be done to reduce the risk?
  • What else do we need to do?
  • How and what to communicate and to who

Participants are asked to bring along examples of programmes that they would like to create a risk assessment for to enable real life scenarios to be practiced.

This is a face-to-face course  at Perdiswell Young Peoples’ Leisure Club, Droitwich Road, Worcester, WR3 7SN

Bookings will be via eventbrite at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/risk-assessment-101-tickets-1037683558457

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
