Abseil Permit Training May 2025

Date: 18th May 2025 Location: Kinver Scout Camp Sections: Adult Volunteer Event Organiser: Kinver

Abseiling Permit Instructor Course

This is a non-qualification course designed to teach leaders the skills required for them to obtain a Scout Permit to lead this activity on man made walls and towers.

Candidates on this course will be given clear direction as to how they can then progress to obtain a Scout Permit in this activity.

Please note that this is a training course only and attendance on this course will not automatically give you a Scout Permit for this activity. Assessments for Climbing/Abseiling permits will take place on September 6th, 2025.

This course is open to any adult members and Young Leaders who have previous experience in Climbing and will include the following:

  • TBC

If you would like to attend this training but do not have any previous Climbing experience, take a look at our Climbing Permit Course running in April, 2025.

This course will be run both inside Compa Hall at Kinver Scout Camp and outside on our Climbing tower from 9am.

The course cost includes refreshments and overnight camping if required. Please provide your own lunch.

You can book this event via our online Shop (see Book Now button at the bottom of this page).

Course costs are refundable to members of Scouts Hereford & Worcester after attendance.
