Leaders’ Hillwalking Day – October
Our Leaders’ Hillwalking Days are for anyone who likes their walking and enjoys a pleasant day out with like-minded people.
They generally happen once a month between October and April and are followed by our annual County walking weekend in May.
Walks are typically 6 to 8 miles and are led by experienced hillwalking permit holders.
We visit a variety of great places with a mixture of easier terrain, such as the Cotswolds or Shropshire Hills, and more adventurous locations such as the Brecon Beacons or Peak District. Venues for day walks are usually within a couple of hours’ drive for those living in the Hereford & Worcester County area.
Experienced permit holders will be happy to share their knowledge during the walks and will also be able to give good advice as to how you can get your Cubs, Scouts and Explorers into the hills safely.
You’ll be able to improve your navigation skills or prepare for a permit – or just enjoy the hike.
