Opportunity for Adult Volunteers: Support the Kinver Campsite Tender Selection Panel

Scouts Hereford & Worcester

Scouts Hereford & Worcester are seeking up to three adult volunteers to support the assessment and selection of preferred bidders in the tender process for identifying a new operating entity for Kinver Scout Campsite.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of one of our county’s most significant Scouting assets by bringing professional insight, balanced judgement, and a commitment to transparent governance.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome expressions of interest from volunteers who have experience or strong understanding in one or more of the following areas:

  • Commercial acumen and business operations

  • Financial planning and oversight

  • Project management and delivery

  • Organisational governance or strategic decision-making

Eligibility

Volunteers must:

  • Hold a valid volunteer role within Scouts Hereford & Worcester (Hereford & Worcester County Scout Council and Federated Groups)

  • Not be intending to submit a bid for the site

  • Not be related to anyone intending to submit a bid

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle privileged information, due to the sensitivity surrounding the site’s future

What to Expect

Informal interviews will be held with:

  • The Chair

  • The County Lead Volunteer

  • A senior member of the County Team

Selected volunteers will take part in reviewing submissions, supporting evaluation discussions, and helping ensure a robust, fair, and transparent process.
