Join the Excitement: Open a Squirrel Drey in Your Group!

Squirrels are an exciting opportunity to welcome even more young people into the adventure of Scouting! With their fun and engaging programme, Squirrel Dreys open the door for children aged 4-6 to begin their Scouting journey, and we need your help to make this happen.

We’re encouraging all Groups and Volunteers to open Squirrel Dreys by the end of 2025. Whether you’re a Lead Volunteer, potential Squirrel Adult volunteer (beit a member or not), or a Trustee, this is your chance to be part of something truly impactful for the next generation.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
