Below are the upcoming Learning Opportunities in Hereford and Worcester. Please do keep an eye on this page as new opportunities are added all the time.

Further details of each Course can be found by clicking on it, including how to book.

Once you’ve booked on a Course, you should receive a confirmation e-mail and /or joining instructions. If you have not heard back by one week prior to the course, please contact the person you submitted your booking to, or County Training Administrator (mark.strain@scoutshw.org.uk) to check that your booking went through. If maximum numbers are reached for a course, the Administrator may advise that you have been placed on a Reserve List.

Most training courses in Hereford and Worcester are free to attend to members from Hereford and Worcester (if there is a cost, it will be specified in the course details). However, there is a cost to putting on these courses, and the trainer will be preparing resources for the number of participants they are expecting. Please ensure that you are booked on to a course rather than just turning up, and please let us know at the earliest opportunity if you are unable to attend a course that you are booked on – we may be able to offer your place to somebody else. Participants from outside of Hereford and Worcester Scout County are welcome to attend our courses. However, please contact our County Training Administrator to discuss whether there will be a cost.

Please note – this list is a compilation of Learning Opportunities available across the County and Region – delivered by Districts, Campsites, Activities team, County Training Team, Region and many more. If you have a question about a particular learning opportunity, please contact the person with whom you have made the booking. If you are offering a learning opportunity to Scout adult volunteers and would like to see it included on this list, please contact dcc.people@scoutshw.org.uk

Nature and the outdoors are languages that can be learned. Once you identify a beech tree, tie a clove hitch or cook a simple meal over a fire that you’ve built yourself, you’ll never forget it.'
